LEMOS II

Javier Madrid defines his work as balance. Strength balance, from Ethos against the Pathos, of a Caos defeated by the Order of the geometrical and mathematical. The color range lives this fight as well. The blacks, blues and greys, in Harmony with the warms, all together in one, are giving the impression of calm. False, because as soon as is taking the attention, the eyes have to change from one place to another of the painting, inside of so many details. The Baroque and Renaissance times, the overelaborate and the mild, is a balance worthy to look at. The artist is inspired by the Greco-latine heroes of our culture. The mythological references, words with places, Gods or heroes are present almost undetected by the cloth: like our mind map, a world cartography.
